Duration: 3+ months (37.5 hrs/week)

 

Description

Client is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to support Data Warehouse Development on an Oracle Exadata platform and assist in upgrading several other databases from Windows/Oracle 10g to Oracle Database Appliances running Oracle Enterprise Linux/Oracle 11gR2 RAC. The successful candidate will support the software environment including general database administration, table/index design and creation, sql tuning, Exadata and Oracle Database Appliance patches, Oracle patches, Grid Control 12c, and problem resolution.

 

Required Qualifications:

7-10 years of Oracle Database Administration.

6+ years experience with Oracle RAC.

Experience in a Data Warehouse environment.

Excellent problem solving and SQL tuning skills.

Working knowledge of Grid Control 12c.

Understanding of Data Modeling principles.

Knowledge of full life cycle application development including code promotion from Development to QA to Production environments.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to multi-task with several high priority projects and meet critical deadlines.

Optional Qualifications:

Linux administration.

PL/SQL coding skills.

SQL Server Database Adminstration.

LDAP Administration and support.
