QA Analyst with JAVA/C++ experience

Position Type: 6 Months Contract

Location: New York, NY

 

Job Description:

The Technical QA Analyst has primary responsibility for identifying problems with the software and its design. The main duties of this position include but not limited to:

•        Working closely with development team at all stages to promote quality

•        Running cross platform testing

•        Verifying load, scalability, and performance requirements have been met

•        Working with developers to perform root-cause analysis and preliminary problem diagnosis

 

Skills:

•        9+ years' experience in Quality Assurance or Development role

•        Techincal QA analyst with Development experience

•        Experience with trading and financial applications preferred

•        Programming knowledge in C/C++, Perl and Java is required

•        Unix (Linux/Solaris) and Windows experience (scripting and automation) required

•        Experience with automation tools required

•        Experience with SQL Server, Oracle is preferred

•        Excellent communication skills required for interaction with development and product managers

•        Strong problem solving ability

 

Educational

•        Bachelor's degree is required preferably with emphasis on Computer Science
