Sr .Linux Systems engineer @ Austin, TX for 12+ months contract

 

Description:

We are seeking a Systems engineer focused on large-scale deployments of cloud environments. Must be a generalist comfortable with all aspects of deployment and system administration including planning, design, implementation, deployment and testing.  Must be a self-starter who is passionate about the technology being built. Should enjoy working in a strongly collaborate team environment. Ability to work with remote co-workers is essential.

 

Skills needed:

Expert in:

• Linux/UNIX command line
• Cloud experience
• Package management systems
• Python scripting language
• Ubuntu/Debian
• Chef or Puppet
• Configuration management
• Git
• Installing and configuring Linux
• Managing Apache, MySQL, Memcached, and MongoDB

 

Work to be completed:

·         Complete vPV monitoring work on aPaaS Shared Cluster offering

·         Contribute to Dev Operations of staging/production environments for aPaaS Dedicated Cluster offering

·         Develop python cloud agent scripts for aPaaS Dedicated Cluster offering
