Summary:

We are looking for a Manager with prior experience managing Payer healthcare operational and technology projects. Candidates must demonstrate working knowledge of best practice business process improvement techniques, software engineering concepts (requirements management, development methodologies, design, testing and documentation), project management methodologies and an understanding of how technology applies to and enables payer business concepts.

 

Roles/Responsibilities:

•      Independently manage large, strategic engagements

•      Understand the underlying technologies being used on a project to be able to direct how to design, develop, test, and implement a technical development project

•      Quickly respond to client requests for immediate issues while also being able to drive projects to completion

•      Analyze client's specific request and determine the underlying problem and recommend proper solutions

•      Oversee the overall project, with ultimate responsibility for success or failure of the engagement, specifically focused on ensuring overall client satisfaction and quality of delivery and profitability of the engagement.

•      Conduct and document interim client satisfaction reviews with client sponsor and project manager

•      Review project deliverables for completeness and appropriateness

•      Review Risks and Risk Action Plan on a regular basis

 

Requirements:

•      Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 plus year's related experience

•      Ability to analyze complex needs and requirements, disparate constituents and organize into a well framed project.

•      Must be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure while managing multiple competing projects and priorities.

•      Experience with Claims processing & Adjudication systems

•      Working knowledge with ETL  tools such as AbInitio, Informatica and / or DataStage

•      Working knowledge of Business Intelligence Tools such as Cognos and Business Objects

•      Prior experience in Data warehousing

 

Key skills:

•      Strong communication skills because there will be heavy interaction with the end client.

•      The end client is a major healthcare company and candidates must have strong and recent experience with Healthcare Payer/claims processing. 

•      This is a PM who has experience with ETL/BI projects!
