Title: Sr. Java/ J2EE Developer

Location: Johns Creek, GA

Duration: 6 – 12 Months

 

MUST BE LOCAL TO ATLANTA OR HAVE STRONG RETAIL INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

 

Special Functions:

• Advanced JAVA/  Web-services  /SSIS Required
• Bachelor's degree preferred. In lieu of a Bachelors degree, we will accept equivalent in education, experience, or both.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years experience or formal training with one or more programming languages or software packages currently used at Client in a web environment (Java, J2EE, XML).
• Strong technical experience working with WebSphere, DB2 on an AIX platform
• Advanced understanding of full life cycle development.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, multitasking, and time management skills with consistent attention to detail. Advanced understanding of analytical techniques such as logical data modeling and process modeling. Knowledge and skills related to additional technical tools are a plus (Visio, data modeling tools, window prototyping tools).
• Ability to effectively learn and use new programming concepts, tools, and methodology to support the needs of the business.
• Strong functional understanding of the assigned retail business area (logistics, credit, and so forth) and how it interacts with other areas of the business and detail processes. Overall understanding of the client's suite of systems and their interdependence is a plus.
• Strong understanding of emerging technologies and systems development best practices.
• Strong leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels.
• Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and consensus building skills.
• Advanced presentation (written and verbal) communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical issues and solutions to all levels of business.
• Ability to effectively share technical information and train and mentor less experienced or knowledgeable team members.
• Advanced PC Windows skills (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project or other project management tools).
• Strong understanding of the FSG Solutions Framework.
• High level of teamwork skills (communication, ability to share ideas and solutions for work challenges).
