Role: UI Developer
Location - Dallas/Fort Worth
Length - 12 months
UI Developers with HTML5 & CSS3 experience.
**Job Description**
Duties:
Researches and evaluates potential solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solution for HTML5 common presentation layer and UI designs and develops design specifications.
Participates in R&D activities independently or as a part of an enterprise project team to design and implement (hands-on development) POCs and production frameworks for web presentation layer services.
Is a subject matter expert on HTML5 and CSS3 (cascading style sheets).
Engineers solutions that are compatible across client Operating Systems, Browsers and devices and could become integrated within EWS and cross-divisional development projects.
Supports the implementation of standard software libraries, including:
HTML5 web presentation layer for applications.
CSS3 templates.
Live Tiles (Win 8)
Adaptation of legacy interfaces for mobile device compatibility.
Write project related documentation such as:
Framework documentation
Design guidelines
Development standards
Development handbook
Work closely with domain experts/enterprise solution architects globally (i.e., SharePoint Portal, Advanced SharePoint, BPM, Java/.Net, UCM) to produce enterprise level / HTML5-based user interfaces for new applications and legacy applications.
Work with application architects to ensure design quality and continuity guidelines and coding standards are developed and taught to external application development vendors and non-EWS Novartis application development teams.
Skills:
Must have: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, .NET
Desirable: SharePoint 2010, InfoPath, SharePoint Designer
Tools: Visual Studio 2010 (2012 preferred), MS Team Foundation Server, Eclipse IDE, Dreamweaver (or other HTML IDE)
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (5-7 years of hands-on commercial software development) working on developing:
User interface frameworks and libraries
Applicationframeworks
Application programming interfaces (APIs).
