Location: West Lake, TX
Duration: 6+ Months

We are looking the candidate on W2 only

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with developers and customers on a daily basis during agile projects.
• Provides business and systems analysis support for projects collaborating with customers and developers to identify, define, interpret, and clarify scope of problems/issues in terms of business/systems requirements and processes
• In agile projects, facilitate and drive requirements clarification via standard techqniques such as lean driven task/workflow analysis to identify epics and breakdown epics into stories with acceptance test criteria to be used to drive iterations.
• Assure all documented requirements and acceptance test criteria are transparent to the whole team.
• On agile projects during "swarming", be open to taking on new tasks to bring the team back on track.
• Elicit and document requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
• Conducts systems analysis to determine data needs and technical recommendations
• Leads the application testing process to verify business and systems requirements are met through development of acceptance test criteria and validating those crieria in the system. Hands on leading/facilitating the execution of all test cases and sharing of the test results and trends.
• Owns the creation and management of project artifacts for the client's Systems Development Methodology, Agile Methodology and/or other team deliverables
• Be a team driver of continous improvement

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5+ years business or systems analysis experience
• Mutual fund tax experience a plus
• Minimum 3 years experience with systems development methodologies
• Minimum 2 years experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, XP, Kanban)


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
• Understanding, articulating and championing the benefits of agile to team members
• Mentoring other team members on Agile methods
• Writing/eliciting Epics and decomposing them into User Stories sized appropriately for the iteration
• Recognizing and using common repeatable patterns to estimate epics and/or stories
• Creating acceptance test criteria and managing the end-to-end testing process
• Experience writing automated test scripts a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with business and technical team members across the organization
• Working independently with limited supervision
• Working in a distributed environment with colleagues located in different geographical regions
• Use of collaboration tools to effectively work on project activities – e.g., instant messaging, screen sharing, knowledge sharing sites, etc.
• Experience with Jira a plus
• Experience with testing management tools
• Knowledge of accounting principles, mutual fund industry and security types for institutional and retail funds
