US CONSULTING - CONTRACT Applications Architect @ Farmington Hills, MI

Genuent is hiring a Applications Architect for our direct client in the Farmington Hills, MI area. This is a 6 month contract with the possibility of an extension and a tentative start date of 06/03/2013. Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree with 9 years experience

Main responsibilities

• Provides architectural oversight for the development of moderately complex new and/or enhanced applications or products.
• Integrates components built by application developers and/or programmers as needed.
• Conducts technical research, testing, evaluation and documentation of moderately complex hosting/configuration tools and methodologies to ensure that tools are current and functional.
• Creates application architectures and populates application host/configuration matrices with appropriate strategies, timelines and cost information to increase cost efficiency and effectiveness.
• Coordinates with application developers, managers and customer application experts to ensure that required features and modifications are included in the appropriate releases to support cross-product features and to communicate architectural designs and standards.
• Designs application modules that work together to produce desired product.
• Ensures that completed modules provide functionality described by application experts and that performance guidelines are met

Additional Skills

• 3+ years in solution design.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge in Insurance required, (Casualty & property - plus)
