Role: BIPM Data Architect
Exp Required: 8-10+
Work Location: Portland, Oregon
Duration: 6 months +
Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills
DBMS: SQL Server 2008 R 2, Oracle 10g
Languages: SQL, T-SQL, oracle PL/SQL
Operating Systems: Linux, Unix, Windows
ERP (Basis admin): SAP R/3 4.6C, 4.5B, ECC
Tools/Utilities: Sybase Power Designer, Cognos 10.1, Toad ,SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle SQL Developer
Expectations:
1. Strong background in SQL
2. Performance tuning, partitioning on SQL server
3. Strong Data modeling experience with one or more of the data modeling tools like Sybase Power designer ( 3-5 years of experience) or Erwin
4. Strong in Inmon and Kimball datawarehousing methodologies
5. Strong in 3NF and Dimensional modeling
6. Capacity planning and physical database design skills
7. Experience with SQL Server 2008 R2 database.
8. Support and guide ETL and report development teams (offshore and onsite)
9. Excellent communication (written and verbal).

Desirable Technical / Functional Skills "Qualifications:
1. 8-10+ years - Data Architecture / Modeling experience; delivering both logical models and physical designs with extensive experience with translating business needs into data requirements
2. Data Warehousing lifecycle experience
3. At least 3-5 years experience with data modeling tools like ERwin, ER Studio, Sybase PowerDesigner, Oracle Designer and/or other modeling tools
4. Experience with Sybase PowerDesigner data modeling tool preferred
5. Experience with normalized OLTP,MDM and DW Dimensional modeling techniques, Star & Snowflake schemas, modeling slowly changing dimensions and role playing dimensions, dimensional hierarchies, and data classification
6. Experience with maintaining data dictionary and managing technical, process, and business metadata
