Job Description:

Client is looking for a senior level Java developer, ideally someone with some lead experience. Candidate should be well versed in both the development side and architecture side, 6 plus years.  Candidate should be well versed with Java server side development, threading, API, Spring, Hibernate. Must be open to mentoring Jr. level developers. Could should come from  a Unix background.  There is no specific product knowledge they need, but they should come from industry.

Candidate should have some SQL background with Oracle.

Main Duties
Must Have:

· Problem solving skills

· Positive attitude

· At least 5-7 years experience in Java development

Technical skills:

· Core Java concepts / API understanding

1. Exception handling

2. Collections API

3. Threads

4. Best practices (such as avoiding code duplication, avoiding hard coded values etc

· Spring version 3.x

1. Spring Dependency Injection / IOC container configuration

· ORM framework

1. Concepts/Need for ORM

2. Hibernate

· Messaging

1. JMS Concepts

2. Creating simple message publishers / receivers

· Excellent communication
Person Requirements 
Preferred skills:

· UNIX shell scripting

1. Commands

2. Shell scripts – Develop and execute shell scripts

· Oracle SQL / PLSQL

1. SQL (queries, joins, aggregate functions, Views)

2. PL/SQL- Creating simple stored procedures/functions
