Position  :- Network Security Engineer

Location :- Coppell, TX

Duration :- 6 Months

 

Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills

 

• Minimum of 7 years of security engineering, support and design experience
• Minimum of 2 years experience with ACS, MARS, ASA/Firewalls, and VPN connectivity
• Minimum of the following relevant Cisco certifications:  CCNA & CCNP security certifications

 

Roles and responsibility

 

• Work closely with the System Engineers, Network Engineers and the Network Security teams during day to day tasks
• Integrate LAN/WAN security efforts, projects and other information systems
• Perform analytical, technical and administrative work in the planning, design, testing, upgrades, installation and on-going administration of Local and Wide Area Secured Networks
• Identify vulnerable areas, update security appliances, recommend security counter-measures and technologies and implement changes
• Maintain a current security infrastructure and stay up-to-date on virus outbreaks
• Update IPS/ids appliances, ASA, Routers/Switches and related equipment by upgrading IOS, creating ACL or utilizing other counter-measures recommended by the security community and meeting the company's requirements
• Monitor MARS, ACS and CSM, while proactively seeking remediation of security breaches, coordinating and leading the effort to correct and update systems as required
• Perform as the Point of Contact for network security scans, and lead the corrective actions to fix/update/mitigate the vulnerabilities found during scans
• Install and maintain network hardware and software
• Resolve tickets and network/event escalations
• Perform other duties as assigned

 

Desirable Technical / Functional Skills

 

• CCIE security certification
• Extensive knowledge of Windows Server Systems and Microsoft Technology
• Strong knowledge of multilayer switching, internal and external routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS and others), and VoIP architectures
• Experience with firewall/ASA, IPS/IDS, ACS architecture and deployment
• Experience in packet captures and application security
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Office, MS Project and MS Visio
