Lead Data Warehousing Specialist

Duration :- 12 months

 

Summary:

Looking for a success-driven Senior Data Warehousing Specialist to join our expanding Enterprise Business Intelligence group. This person will become an integral part of the team and display aptitudes that will encompass all aspects of the Business Intelligence development life cycle including; analysis and design in business process and requirements, data modeling, ETL/ELT processing.

 

The Ideal Senior Data Warehousing specialist will have worked in an enterprise environment in their most recent position and have hands on experience with; ETL (OWB , PLSQL , Informatica), Data Modeling (Erwin), and have a solid background in Analysis / Requirements gathering. Ensure tasks conform to specifications and align with standardized best practices. Facilitates and participates in the support of data warehousing  projects.

 

Qualifications :

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, or equivalent is generally required. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience or training.
• 7+ years professional experience data warehouse development preferably in a medium to large data warehouse environments.
• Well developed written and verbal communication skills in customer settings and with internal management. Well developed active listening, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Knowledge and experience with Informatica ETL using advanced features
• Hands on experience building logical data models and physical data models.
• Demonstrated experience in 3rd Normal Form data modeling techniques.
• Experience in MPP databases like Netezza or Teradata
• Demonstrated experience leading a team, delivering, implementing data warehouse technologies
• Deep knowledge of data warehouse development life cycle methodologies and processes.
• Well developed time management and prioritization skills. 
• Demonstrated analytical capabilities including complex technical problem solving. Exposure to managing customer expectations. 
• Ability to establish and maintain solid business relationships and work effectively with senior business and client contacts. 
• Ability to mentor and guide others in technical skills. 
• Ability to communicate business needs to technical people and to communicate and simplify complex technical information for non-technical people.
