US CONSULTING - CONTRACT Urgent requirement : Scrum Master : MI : 6Month Project : Confirmed Interview

Role : Scrum Master 

Duration: 6+ months

Location : Southfield, MI

  

Job Responsibilities:   

Ø  2-5+ years of Agile/ Scrum Master Experience 

Ø  Ability to lead/coach/teach/mentor 12 developers (Java) in the Agile Methodology 

Ø  Ability to conduct estimations of full lifecycle project & ability to estimate defects. 

Ø  Ability to work with offshore teams (India) 

Job Description: 

Ø  Understand basic fundamentals of iterative development 

Ø  Understand other processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise 

Ø  Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures 

Ø  Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team 

Ø  Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics 

Ø  Understand backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, and task definition 

Ø  Familiarity with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices 

Communication & Leadership Skills: 

 

Ø  Servant Leader – Must be able to garner respect from his/her team and be willing to get their hands dirty to get the job done 

Ø  Communicative and social – Must be able to communicate well with teams 

Ø  Facilitative – Must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to a team 

Ø  Assertive – Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls. 

Ø  Situationally Aware – Must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to management 

Ø  Enthusiastic – Must be high-energy 

Ø  Continual improvement - Must continually be growing ones craft learning new tools and techniques to manage oneself and a team 

Ø  Conflict resolution - Must be able to facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approaches 

Ø  Attitude of empowerment - Must be able to lead a team to self-organization 

Ø  Attitude of transparency – Must desire to bring disclosure and transparency to the business about development and grow business trust

Ø  Works with PO 

Ø  Educates PO, Team, Management and Organization 

Ø  Solves impediments 

Ø  Encourages and helps to achieve transparency 

Ø  Strives to develop a Team into a High Performance Team 

Ø  Encourages and protects self-organization 

Ø  Educates and focuses a Team toward business-driven development 

Ø  Supports Team building and Team development by utilizing the abilities and skills of individuals, and fostering a Feedback culture 

Ø  Helps to self-help 

Ø  Ensures and supports Empowerment of the Team 

Ø  Addresses needs efficiently and effectively 

Ø  Detects hidden problems and strives to solve them

Nice to haves: 

Ø  Knowledge of standard web coding environment (html, css, javascript) 

Ø  Knowledge of native app development (iOS, Android)
