Senior Flash Developer

Duration– 6 months

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Flash Developer to join one our clients game studios. This studio has built fun and successful games in the past and continues to make headway. If you enjoy building games and have solid development experience this is the place to be!

 

Things you need to have:

• BS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience as a Flash Developer in a fast-paced, small-mid team environment
• Strong understanding in programming concepts and design patterns.
• Strong understanding in Flash workflow
• Expert level understanding of ActionScript development with Flash Builder or similar program
• Basic understanding of Scout performance profiling or profiling tools for web applications
• Aware of common issues such as Browser/Flash version compatibility, CPU optimization, etc.
• Excellent communication, team, and problem solving skills
• Comfort with runtime complexity, client + assets caching, and high load issues
• Organized and able to deliver projects / features on time

It would be great if you also had:

• Experience developing social networking apps and a love of gaming
• Experience with AIR API and JSFL development
• Knowledgeable in other programming languages such as: PHP, shell scripting, Ant, Jenkins, Javascript, HTML5, Java, or other web technologies
• Proven or a good understanding of handling extremely high-traffic and data intensive applications

• Build games and applications to be used by millions
• Solve challenging and complex problems
• Take charge and responsibility of tooling to help drive our products development
• Contribute ideas in a collaborative, supportive team environment
• Work with cross-functional game team including product, QA, design and art
• Be a model of and advise junior developers of best practices
