Job Description:

Scope of Work:

The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles requires an experienced consultant's assistance with web development using the Web Content Management System (WCMS) Drupal. This assistance will require skills and experience with a number of web-development tools and processes, as listed in Section 2.2 below.

 

The required assistance is comprised of turning design and user interface mockups into functional websites using Drupal. Assignments for the consultant will include installing and configuring Drupal modules, creating themes, and site templates. The consultant must have strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other web standards. The consultant is expected to work independently and follow best practices.

 

2.2 Professional Experience Mandatory Requirements:

Bidders must demonstrate in their proposals that the proposed consultants meet the following mandatory technical experience:

 

·         Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Drupal Web Content Management System setup and configuration with customization/add-ons;

·         Minimum of two (2) years of experience in using Git as a source code repository;

·         Minimum of two (2) years of experience in developing custom modules within Drupal;

·         Minimum of three (3) years of experience in LAMP stack:

·         Minimum of three (3) years of experience in PHP development;

·         Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Linux Administration;

·         Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Apache Administration;

·         Minimum of three (3) years of experience in MySQL Administration;

·         Minimum of three (3) years of experience in JavaScript and JQuery;

·         Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Web development;

·         Minimum of four (4) years of experience in HTML; and

·         Minimum of four (4) years of experience in CSS;

·         Minimum of one (1) years of experience in Panels;

·         Minimum of one (1) years of experience in Fieldable Panel Panes;

·         Minimum of one (1) years of experience in In Place Editors;

 

2.3 Non-Technical Mandatory Requirements:

Proposed consultants must meet the following mandatory requirements:

 

·         Good communication skills, oral and written.

·         Familiarity with, and basic understanding of, New York State government procedures.
