Location : Minneapolis, MN

Duration :6+months

 

 

 Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

 

Sr. Systems Engineers **2 spots** The Sr. Systems Engineer for Middleware will be a subject matter expert, working with application development teams to provide expertise, guidance and support on assigned technology domain (Unix, Java, Application Servers) or assigned assets (to include interrelationships with other systems, applications and technology). The Sr Systems Engineer will provide oversight, technical direction and expertise to the other technical members of the project and support teams. Strong knowledge on administration of WebSphere Application Server, Apache, and Tomcat. Skilled with Unix OS, bash scripting, automation, and troubleshooting Strong understanding of Java 6 & 7 Experience with source control and build tools Strong verbal and written skills Plus skills with the design and operation of enterprise level complexity computing systems Proven expertise with application development and deployment best practices in a shared environment Practical experience with Apache configuration and best practices.

• Practical experience with application server concepts on one or more of the following technologies: WebSphere Application Server, Tomcat, JBoss.

• Practical experience with software configuration management concepts and tools, including Git and Subversion.
