Position: Oracle Utilities/Business Suite developer

Location: Laurel, MD

Duration: 12 months

The purpose of this position is to support the implementation Oracle's Work and Asset Management Product suite (WAM Assets, Bar Coding and MWM) and System integration.

 

·         Need to be able to design, modify and implement software programming applications and components

·         Utilizing established development tools and guide lines and conventions such as JAVA, Visual Studio, SQL Server, HTML, VBA, and ORACLE PL/SQL.

·         Conversion of customer data from legacy to Oracle using SQL Scripts, PL/SQL, Oracle packages and Excel Spreadsheets.

·         Document and conversion process

·         Design conversion process based upon data mapping specifications

·         Ensuring Data Accuracy and Integrity

·         Verify accuracy and completeness of code by sample data and testing of the codes

·         Be a strong team player

·         Be able to escalate issues to the supervisor to ensure timely resolution

·         Create and deliver data driven report

·         Design, code and test new Windows and web software applications

·         Enhance existing system by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvements

·         Maintaining the existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects

·         Creating technical specifications and test plans

·         Create new and extend the existing operational documentation.

·         Collaborate across technical and functional teams

·         Identify and mitigate risk and support issues

·         Provide daily and weekly status reports
