US CONSULTING - CONTRACT IMMEDIATE REQUIREMENT FOR - VB6 DEVELOPER - TX

VB6 DEVELOPER:

 

 

LOCATION:  DALLAS, TX

DURATION:  6 MONTHS

IN PERSON REQUIRED

 

Description:

 

Our client is seeking individuals to be key members of their software development team defining and delivering progressive and sophisticated software. Candidates will strive to deliver key usability and performance improvements over the existing product suite. This is a hands-on position requiring strong development skills. Additionally, the candidates must have good interpersonal skills and be able to handle stressful situations.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

•        Create superior software

•        Follow, create and improve upon the development process

•        Provide technical expertise and leadership

•        See projects / assignments through to completion while adhering to business timelines

•        Qualifications:

•        Education:

•        Bachelor's Degree or greater

•        Computer Science or Computer-related Degree Preferred

•        Experience:

•        Preferred candidates must have a minimum of five years with complete SDLC.

•        5+ years experience with VB6 required

•        3+ years experience with .NET; .NET Framework 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 a plus

•        Thorough understanding of source control: Visual Source Safe required

•        5+ years experience with SQL 2005, 2008, 2008R2 and ADO or ADO.NET

•        Competent with database design practices, referential integrity; understanding of Normalization

•        Design and development of database schema.  Creating tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, constraints and jobs.

•        3+ years experience with HTML, XML, XSLT, VB Script

•        Competent with SQL Server Management Studio

•        Healthcare experience a plus: HL7, DICOM

•        InnerfaceWare's Chameleon HL7 Messaging Toolkit

•        Leadtools Toolkit
