US CONSULTING - CONTRACT Urgent hiring for Performance Test Engineer( Local to GA)

Role: Performance Test Engineer

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Duration: 6 Months +

Rate: dependent upon experience

 MUST HAVE:

• MUST be local to Atlanta
• 7+ years of QA/Testing experience (mainly testing Java apps)
• Strong Oracle SQL and/or PL/SQL query experience
• Strong UNIX or Linux scripting experience
• MUST have experience working with built-in Linux performance utilities
• MUST have strong performance testing experience (preferably manual testing)

Senior Performance Test Engineer: ensures ongoing and optimal system performance through testing, analysis and reporting of Performance testing scenarios, and provides consultation to the technology team to resolve issues and proactively reduce production incidents.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops application performance load tests based on application requirements\changes
• Designs and sets up test scenarios
• Prepares test data and conducts performance load test execution
• Monitor and report on the progress of performance tasks
• Analyzes and assesses performance risks through load test results
• Monitors test results and presents the result for system performance
• Makes recommendations on application design
• Documents test procedures, analysis and results
• Proposes and implements process improvement
• Develop formal test results documentation

Experience Requirements:

• Experienced testing Java applications
• Good knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL
• Good knowledge of Unix or Linux scripting
• Experienced working with built-in Linux Performance Utilities
• Some Java experience (nice to have)
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
