ArcGIS Developer with VB.Net, C#, ASP.Net, Web Services, XML and SOAP

Location:Rensselaer,NY 

Duration:24 Months

Rate: $65/ hr C2C Max

Please note that our client does allow Skype/remote interviews.However they reserve the right to require an in-person interview.

Bachelor's Degree. Proof of education is to be submitted with all responses.

Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Work with customers on analysis and logical design for all GIC efforts.

2. Perform complex PL/SQL coding in a Geographic Information System environment.

3. Perform routine maintenance for the GIS upgrades, patches & maintenance to custom and packaged apps.

4. Respond to ad hoc queries as they relate to GIS. This includes administrative planning, operational analysis & emergency response.

5. Develop/Code all GIC applications internet/intranet as necessary. Currently new apps include Foster Care Registry & NY Alerts.

6. Support all GIS needs of the Connections application including validation of about 1.8 million addresses per year along with caseload mapping and routing.

7. Geocoding of all OCFS applications currently about 3 million per year while maintaining approximately 20 million address records on an ongoing basis.

Candidates should have experience, and at least one of the following should apply:

Experience as the Lead Developer for complex, large-scale, N-Tier, web-based GIS applications.

Experience writing stored procedures in SQL Server and/or Oracle database(s) for spatial data.

Experience using Oracle Spatial, MapInfo & SpatialWare.

Experience designing and articulating GIS solutions based on documented business processes, rules & user requirements.

Experience working with users on GIS solutions on gathering & documenting requirements.

Developing GIS applications using VB.Net, C#, ASP.Net, Web Services, XML and SOAP.

Experience using MapMarker & MapXtreme.
