US CONSULTING - CONTRACT Position for the day

Position:              Generic Solution Architect

Location:             Plano, TX

Duration:             12+ months

 

Qualifications:

        A BS/MS degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent

        Pertinent Experience - Over 6 years of exp in a telecommunications environment where at least 1 of those years are in a solution architect position or equivalent technical Team Lead role.

        Good written and spoken English

        Pertinent Working Experience with ADSL2+, VDSL, GPON & IPTV Carrier Class Networks

        Generic Solution Architect Duties/Overview:

        Prepared to work within a Technology Driven Professional Services Organization

        Good communicator and coach

        Pro-actively drive improvements in the methods, processes, and guidelines within the project

        Acts as a leader/mentor in day to day operations to provide insights for less experienced colleagues

        Has track record of being able to drive large and complex projects

        Has good experience in delivering Solutions within any Carrier domain

        A strong consultative mindset and the ability to see the bigger picture

        Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and cooperate in teams, projects and networks to achieve results

        Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines

 

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

        Specify and design a technical and/or competence developing solution in co-operation with the customer.

        Scope, define and design solution offerings; driving end-to-end technical solutions in pre-sales and delivery phases.

        Develop technical presentations and proposals, and perform customer presentations.

        Lead delivery projects as technical solution owner and SME.

        Analyze Customer networks performance and propose and implement solutions for network improvements.

        Provide specified customized solutions, covering several products and interfaces several customer systems.

        When applicable participate as a member of Core 3 team with specialist knowledge within the subject area (solutions) so that technical aspects related to are taken into account.

        Follow up the delivered products and solutions on an agreed regular basis with the customer to keep informed about the life cycle evolvement of the implemented customer solution.

        Actively contribute and engage others to enhance knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing.

        Stay abreast of on new technology/technical areas and share information about solution to enable customer competence build.

        Support deployment of solution.
