| Please let me know if you have anybody for this requirement Position : Oracle DBA Location : Plano, TX Duration : 6+ Months Rate : $50/hr Responsibilities: * Full life cycle support of clients database(s).and Sun and Intel Hardware * Responsible for database backups, recoveries, patches, upgrades and performance tuning, troubleshooting. * Will work with DBA team to design and build new structures to support future enhancements and support to the applications. * Responsible for sharing 24 x 7 on call duties with other team members. * Will Maintain the Sun Hardware by working with Sun support. Qualifications: Minimum of 4 years of experience working with ORACLE database systems on UNIX required. * Oracle 10g DBA experience required (RAC setup/configuration strongly preferred). * Candidate must have strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills. * Candidate must have experience in Oracle 10g database architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/SQL programming, backup & recovery, Oracle Grid monitoring, and database and query tuning. Candidates with 10g OCP are highly preferred. * Oracle 11g experience preferred. * RMAN and Data Guard experience in Oracle 10g or higher are ideal. * Experience with Logical and Physical standby troubleshooting * Good performance and tuning skill set is needed. * Database partitioning, patching, cloning experience preferred.
