PowerBuilder Sybase Developer
Location:Albany,NY
Duration:24 Months
Please note that our client does allow Skype/remote interviews.However they reserve the right to require an in-person interview.
Candidates should have experience, and at least one of the following should apply:
Experience in PowerBuilder 6.0 or later in a client server environment performing application analysis, design, troubleshooting, and coding for large projects.
Experience in SYBASE Adaptive Server Enterprise coding Stored Procedures/Triggers using Transact SQL for large projects.
Experience in SYBASE Adaptive Server Enterprise designing database tables for large projects.
Experience assisting with Requirements Analysis, Requirements Elicitation and Requirements Definition for large projects.
Experience preparing documentation and or reviewing documentation (analysis documents, technical documentation, test plans, functional specifications, etc).
Experience as a technical lead or providing technical leadership to a project team or group of programmers, and mentoring or training junior, mid-level, and senior programmers.
Experience analyzing requirements, reviewing existing code to extract business rules and define current logic, performing alternatives analyses, and making technical recommendations based on best practices.
Experience facilitating or leading meetings to gather or discuss requirements, or present information or recommendations, including meetings with technical and non-technical team members or stakeholders.
Experience in quality control and quality assurance including performing code reviews, testing, and researching and troubleshooting production problems and help desk tickets.
Experience developing or following a software development methodology.
Experience preparing work estimates, tracking work effort time and statuses, working based on a prioritized list of projects, adjusting work efforts due to changes in priorities, and working on multiple project simultaneously.
Experience preparing status reports, and other summary or project reports.
Experience performing software application builds using an established methodology including the use of version control.
Experience creating batch jobs and preparing run instructions.
Experience coordinating with a database team to troubleshoot performance issues or replication issues.
Experience preparing written documentation for non-technical stakeholders.
Experience preparing and executing a knowledge transfer.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree.
