2) MicroStrategy/BI testing

Position Summary

As a Sr. QA Consultant, you will take ownership of all testing activities such as creating test plans, test cases, test execution summary reports for functional, system integration, regression testing for assigned projects. You will work closely with other teams to ensure high quality and timely delivery of the projects. As a part of QA team, you will work closely with the QA manager and QA lead to monitor the current QA process and make steps to improve it. You will also take part in artifacts review process to ensure that quality standards are met at each phase.

 

Required Qualifications:

· 3 to 5 years of hands on experience in software testing and quality assurance.

· Experience writing complex database queries – SQL, Oracle(PL/SQL or teradata preferred)

· Experience in testing database applications particularly Oracle or Teradata is highly desirable.

· Clear understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).

· Familiarity with Waterfall model, iterative model. (Agile is preferred but not required).

· Experience working in fast paced environment.

· Experience in testing multiple projects or products.

· Experience in manual as well automation testing.

· Good communication, presentation skills.

· Good problem solving skills.

· Must be able to multitask with minimum supervision.

· Must be able to provide attention to details.

· Must be a quick learner.

· Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

 

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:

· Experience in testing data warehouse projects is highly desirable.

· Experience in testing BI applications or MicroStrategy reports, is highly desirable.

· Experience in Oracle or Teradata.

· Experience in automation tools – Informatica DVO, QTP is preferred.

· Knowledge of Quality Center.

· Experience using tools such as Toad, Informatica PowerCenter Manager and monitor, Teradata client (SQL assistant) is preferred.

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
