HP OVO (OM) & SiteScope Job Description:
• Designation HP OVO / SiteScope Administrator
• Good soft skills for written/oral communication with client.
• Able to work independently, own responsibility.
• Analytic ability in order to research technical issues and generate creative/innovative solutions.
HP OVO Description:
• Should have minimum 4 – 7 year of experience on Operations Manager which include – Install/upgrade, agent installation/upgrade, Node Commission/Decommission, HTTPS/certificates, OVO
database install/configure, Manager of managers configuration, policy/template creation, Knowledge of SPI, trouble-shooting, integrations with NNM , SiteScope and other alert forwarding tools.
• Sound knowledge in HP OVO, OMW.
• Administration and troubleshooting of primary, DR, OVOW and OMW management server and managed node for heterogeneous environment.
• Template and policy (OVOU and OVOW) creation, user, user profile creation, Flexible Management configuration.
• Installation and troubleshooting of OVO Agent and SPIs (DBSPI, OSSPI, WLSPI).
• Good Experience in implementing new HPOV management servers and Agents (DCE & HTTPS).
• Administrating and supporting HPOV tools like NNM, OVOU, OVOW, OVPM, OVPA, and Site Scope.
• Experience in implementation, configuration and support on product AlarmPoint.
• Working knowledge on configuring alert formatting to third party integration tools.
• Migrate/implement/transform deals to the best practice standard monitoring solutions
• Troubleshooting of HP OM skills on windows and UNIX Platform.
• OS SPI, DB SPI, and any other SPIs (Oracle/VMware/SQL etc.) installation and configuration for UNIX and window.
• Co- ordination with the vendors and the customers for various configurations.
HP SiteScope Description:
• Should knowledge on Adding server remotely and manually.
• Working on out of the box templates and create Customer Monitoring Templates
• Should knowledge on adding URL and testing them.
• Should knowledge on Database maintenance.
• Knowledge on DR / HA.
• Working on SiteScope Alerts.
• Configure forwarding alerts to OVO.
• Configure forwarding alerts to OVO.
Essential:
• Excellent knowledge of Windows and Unix Administration.
• Knowledge on databases (Oracle, MS SQL, Sybase, etc).
• Good knowledge on SNMP and MIBS.
• Scripting Knowledge - Jython/Python, Javascript, (Java), UNIX shell scripting, SQL, XML .
• Should have experience in Rolling out new monitoring tools.
• Strong skills working in a remote team.
• Knowledge in system management solutions and concepts.
• Knowledge on ITIL Awareness.
• Good Knowledge on understanding the SLA.
• 24x7 Environment.
