Job Title: SQL Server DBA (( Must be Local to VA or Nearby ))
Location: Northern VA
Duration: 6 Months Contract

 

Responsibilities 
Configure, manage and troubleshoot SQL transactional and merge replication environments 
Review and promote database changes to QA, Staging, Training and Production Environments 
Provide scheduled and non-scheduled after hours coverage 
Troubleshoot and determine root cause of database performance problems 
Fulfill customer database change management tasks 
Collaborate with internal teams and customers

 

Qualifications 
Current SQL Server 2005 and 2008 experience 
Five years SQL DBA experience in an Internet service provider or enterprise-level environment
Extensive experience with SQL Server transactional and merge replications 
Extensive experience promoting code to non-production and production environments 
Performs well under pressure. Handles ambiguity well. 
Excellent verbal communication skills 
Schedule flexibility to support 24x7 operation 
Strong in Windows 
Strong troubleshooting skills
