Our client is looking for a Flex Developer to come in and help on a new project which is an enhancement product to their current project. They will be participating in the development and review of specifications to gain an understanding of application changes. This candidate will be doing development on the top layer of the product which will interface with the customer. This tier is made up of Flex/Actionscript/Adobe. They should understand Web Services and have donw work with the framework personally not just part of a team that did it.
Top Skills -
1. Adobe Flex (2+ yrs) - Candidate should have experience working on the frameworks personally within Flex. They should have worked with web based applications and built them on their own.
2. Java (5+ yrs) - Candidate should have experience with Web Services, and a strong understanding of Java/J2EE in regard to web based products.
3. Communication and understanding - Candidate needs to be able to communicate and understand requirements.
More details:
•Completing basic program changes to translate specifications and requirements into code.
•Applying basic technical skills to produce deliverables (i.e. specifications, program changes, unit testscripts, documentation, etc.)
•Providing documentation to support program changes.
•Planning, documenting and executing unit test plans to ensure all code changes meet requirements and specifications.
•Supporting programming changes during quality assurance, user acceptance testing and post implementation to ensure integrity of application.
•Monitoring progress against task estimates to provide status.
•Complying with standards and procedures to ensure development consistency (e.g. programming standards, change management, version control).
Qualifications
High School diploma and a minimum of 4 years of experience. Consideration may be given to a candidate with a degree in lieu of experience.
Required:
•2 years experience with complex Action Script.
•2 years experience with Adobe Flex
•2 years XML experience.
•Experience with enterprise or mission critical applications.
•Working knowledge of MVC.
•Very good communication and team skills.
