Responsible for developing software for loading both an online database and a data warehouse. Responsible for all aspects of the ETL development cycle from design and development through production support. Engage in ETL development, including managing multiple project experiences with DataStage and communicating design considerations using a combination of DataStage, databases, and UNIX scripting where required. Load data, troubleshoot mapping, and tune applications. Develop, optimize, and engage in performance tuning of ETL jobs. Use databases including Teradata and Oracle. Responsible for interfacing with the database design team and performance tuning the data loads. Serve as a point of escalation for complex issues.
Minimum education required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum experience required: 5 years of application development experience or related experience.
Skills required:* Must have DataStage design and development experience. Must have experience with ETL architecture. Must have knowledge of the complete development lifecycle. Must have experience working with both on-shore and off-shore teams. Must have knowledge of Teradata, Oracle, and Unix scripting.
