Requirement information: Title: .NET Developer Location: Dallas, TX, Duration: 6 + month Job type: contract Project Description: Provide .NET application development support and mentoring for any project in the IT Group. Preferred Qualifications: • At least two years of application development experience with SharePoint 2010 especially with Workflows and InfoPath forms. Approximate Hours: 864 hours, with the engagement beginning as soon as possible and concluding 6 months from start date. Travel Expenses: In order to carry out the responsibilities of this task order, the consultant will not be expected to travel and no travel expenses will be paid by the client. Primary Responsibilities: • In a lead role, designs, codes, tests and documents new systems or enhancements to existing systems of high complexity and scope, working with common applications designs and specifications, utilizing industry and System standard procedures, products and methodologies. • Assesses business and organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of new application systems or enhancements to existing applications. • Executes performance and stress testing. • Designs or adapts frameworks and best practices established for the project or unit, or by the System or industry. • Assists in leading design and code reviews. Minimum Qualifications: • At least two years of experience acting in a technical lead role. • In-depth understanding and demonstrated use of object-oriented design principles. • At least five years of proven application development experience that includes creating distributed applications through analysis of specific business requirements. • Demonstrated experience estimating development effort for implementing business requirements. • At least five years of hands-on experience in.NET 4.x based technologies (ASP.NET Web Forms) using Visual Studio 2010 on projects of low to high complexity. • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with ASP.NET MVC, LINQ, Entity Framework, Dependency Injection (DI) frameworks. • At least five years of hands-on experience troubleshooting .NET Middleware (IIS 7.x) related problems. • At least two years’ experience with unit-testing practices on the .NET Platform using a unit testing framework. Understands the differences between unit, functional and system tests. • Proven experience mentoring developers on .NET technologies, object-oriented concepts and principles, and software development best practices. • Experience designing and developing relational databases and SQL programming. • Proven experience documenting design options, along with pros and cons, and making design recommendations. Recommended designs are “right fitted” to business requirements and staff skills/experience. • One to three years of experience applying the Unified Modeling Language (UML) standard using a modeling or diagram tool. • Practical experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM) tool (i.e. Subversion, Clear Case, etc.). • Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve problems. • Proven ability to complete tasks or project assignments with minimal supervision. • Experience with performance engineering and testing. • Experience with Unified Process (UP) or Agile software development methodologies. • Experience with and is willing to initiate sharing knowledge with others • Ability to speak and write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles. • Ability to quickly learn and practically apply new concepts or principles which can be confirmed by experience. • Experience supporting a production application. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Ability to help determine team strategy and policy. • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. • Demonstrated experience collaborating with team to establish, improve and implement coding and other software development standards. ------------------- Ph: (972) 756- 1212 x123 |
