Description: | | Qualifications: Experience with WebSphere Application Server administration version 6.1 and above Experience with supporting WebSphere MQ version 7.0 and above. Healthcare/Payer operations experience 4-5 years experience in IT-related systems implementation, operations and support role for applications hosted on a multi-tiered client-server based Windows. Supporting applications on the Microsoft Windows Server platform with strong knowledge of Windows Server 2003 and/or 2008 operating systems. Experience in supporting applications which leverage COM+, DCOM, .NET 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 technology-based applications and Java applications hosted on Windows Server platforms. Experience in application provisioning and deployment automation with technical skills in associated scripting and packaging technologies: Ant, PowerShell, Jython, InstallShield or similar tools. Experience with SDLC processes and tools; source and software version control and build/packaging software. Good working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, Java EE, LDAP, Active Directory, XML, Web Services, Windows operating system authentication protocols, SSH, SFTP. Experiencing optimizing IT services through automation, standardization and continual improvement. Good working knowledge of system administration on Windows operating systems. Strong ability to adapt to and learn new technologies, products and applications. Strong trouble-shooting and problem determination skills with heavy focus on Windows. Job Description: Continually monitor and tune application infrastructure to assure optimal performance, availability and utilization of resources. Respond to monitoring alerts to quickly identify trouble source and implement resolution to avoid or reduce duration of an outage Provide support and trouble-shooting to resolve issues impacting application operations. Engineer and deploy releases, enhancements, and upgrades or new applications throughout non-production and production environments As needed for new infrastructure, install and configure middleware and vendor application software to build new environments. Maintain knowledge of application design and engineering principles and applications within teams portfolio. Provide technical solutions to automate processes or functions to improve business operations. Develop corresponding operations and support procedures for application operations. Develop and continually refine restore or recovery procedures for errors impacting application operations. Designs and develops scripts to automate manual tasks related to operations and maintenance. Reports to managers and supervisors, advising performance as related to application operations. Escalate issues per policy to higher tier support resources and management as necessary. Provide guidance and mentor junior staff on corresponding job functions. Administer and enforce IT standards and processes.
