Position: Hyperion Developer with min 10+ yrs exp
Location: Orlando, Atlanta or Richmond

Need experienced and skilled developers with Oracle Financial Reporting (aka Hyperion Financial Reporting) experience (A MUST !!). We have a very large project in which many TM1-based reports will be recreated using Essbase as the data source. OFR is the tools we will use for a lot of the reports. Requirements will include understanding the current reports and building them properly using OFR. Unit testing will also be necessary. An understanding of SmartView would certainly help with testing.
Resources will be responsible for report development using Essbase SmartView 11.1.2 and Hyperion Financial Reports 11.1.1.3 and 11.1.2. Resources must have deep Hyperion report development experience using these software packages and understand how to leverage these tools to automate reporting and minimize ongoing maintenance. The HFR reports will also utilize the notes and annotations functionality, developers must also be comfortable working with this functionality. Experience in Finance and banking would be preferable but not required. It is likely that if resources have experience with these tools then they have significant experience working with finance departments.
The resource MUST HAVE Financial Reporting (aka Hyperion Financial Reporting) experience. Do not submit without verifying this.
Scope for the Finance Reporting Transformation focuses on reporting that is currently sourced from either the TM1 Forecast or TM1 MiRap cubes. Key reports include Flash, Actual Results, Financials for BRMs, Forecast Reviews, BUR Std Reports and other management reports. Organizationally, the conversion effort will include Finance Wholesale, Consumer, Geography and Corporate Functions. Total number of reports in the current environment is approximately 320 representing about 900 unique reporting objects.
These reports will be converted into one of three formats Excel Essbase SmartView (SV), Hyperion Financial Reports (HFR) or QlikView. It is expected that we will be able to consolidate reports and drive further standardization across finance. The amount of consolidation is to be determined. That said, the total effort is being estimated at about 8,500 hours and all monthly reporting must be converted by End of March 2013, quarterly reporting will follow. Approximately five SunTrust teammates will be allocated to work on the project. These resources will include business information analysts, developers and report testers.
Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 10+ years progressive work related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
Senior Level knowledge and experience with ERP financial application package software such as PEOPLESOFT or ORACLE.
Solid experience as a Team Lead providing team leadership to less experience developers and serving as the point for all top level technical issues.
Provides direction in the development and maintenance of application programs as well as participates in various phases of the development cycle.
Ensures development adheres to performance optimization, interoperability standards and requirements, and compliance with IT governance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acts as liaison to clients on highly technical and most complex project requests and serves as a technical advisor to other team members.
Designs and engineers systems, provides complex and unique customization of systems development.
Provides integration support for all project work and as necessary to meet business needs.
Provides overall application system integrity and meets applicable project schedules.
Supports and reviews estimates of task level project workload supporting the development effort.
Contributor to projects which span the enterprise.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management methodology and Middleware application development (such as WebSphere, MQ).
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of structured analysis, technical design techniques and related software architectures and development methodologies.
Experience providing leadership to less experience developers and serving as the point for all top level technical issues.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of presenting and discussing technical information as well as influencing and gaining the understanding of others.
