Job Description for Software Developer

 

We are looking for an individual to join one of our agile development teams. For this specific position, we are looking for someone who skilled in and passionate about software development.

 

Responsibilities will include:

 

•         Understanding design and architecture of the application.

•         Designing User Interfaces

 

•         Developing application code.

 

•         In depth understanding of SOA applications

 

•         Extensive experience with web services

•         Conducting troubleshooting, problem triage, and performing root cause analysis.

 

•         Flex/Flash experience a plus

 

 

Should be proficient in most if not all of the following areas:

 

•         Strong in object oriented programming with Java and HTML4/5.

 

•         Strong knowledge of Java Frameworks

 

•         Strong understanding of HTML4/5

 

•         Web Development to include (CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX)

 

•         Knowledge of Web Services, SOA, XML, SOAP, REST

 

•         Good knowledge of writing Unit Tests using JUnit.

 

•         Practical knowledge of Web Development using JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, HTML4 & HTML5.

 

•         Good understanding of relational database design and strong transactional SQL scripting skills

 

•         Experience in developing complex enterprise applications

 

•         Agile and XP Software Development Methodologies

 

•         Design Patterns

 

 

Nice to Have:

 

•         Build tools: TeamCity.

 

•         Other Tracking Tools: Rally, XPlanner, SharePoint.

 

•         Source Control: VSS, Accurev
