Title: Sr. Software Developer (Backend)
Location: PALO ALTO, CA
Duration: 12 Months
Rate: $75/hr on C2C
Required Skills:
· 5+ years of Perl programming using modern techniques; knowledge of Moose, Coro, and AnyEvent a bonus
· JavaScript and jQuery; familiarity with building ReST based web UIs
· Knowledgeable about ReST interfaces, both writing and using
· Perl packages, application packaging
· full cycle development from specification to development to QA to release to maintenance
· PostgreSQL experience, primarily writing SQL but some schema management as well
· Experience working in an Agile shop is a plus; a dislike of Agile is a no go; we follow Kanban
· TDD experience; we write tests for our code and expect everyone to do so
· Willingness to work with the story customer to iron out requirements and then code them
