Title: Data Modeler

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: Long Term

 

 

Tasks requiring independent work:

·         Compare and merge (synchronize) physical models in the repository to physical databases implemented. This includes development, unit test, system test, production, and any other environments (e.g., training).

·         Clean up the display positioning within all models, where possible.  All phases of the model (development, unit test, system test, etc.) should be consistent.

·         Ensure consistent data dictionary entries across environments.

·         Clean up submodels, where possible.

·         Synchronize logical models to the physical for custom built models.

·         Add data dictionary entries with varying degrees of effort.

Tasks requiring developer or user input:

·         Update dictionary entries for existing models where there are gaps or where clarification is needed.

·         Work with project teams on small custom built projects to gather requirements and develop a data model, including data dictionary.

·         Process service requests where changes should be reviewed for standards and models should be updated.

·         Review design of developer built databases before being moved to unit test.

·         Review data models developed by TxDOT personnel.

·         Review data models developed by contractors for TxDOT.

·         Assist with enterprise data model development.
