Description: Responsible for operating, developing, creating and modifying applications and solutions withing both proprietary applications and 3rd party systems. Use MS SQL database design and development tools, applications that improve workflow, automate routine processes, improving links between purchased systems, homegrown syst. Work with portfolio management, reconcilliation, accounting, CRM and performance measurement systems. Should be familiar with investment accounting, compliance, reconciliation, security master, general ledger, market pricing etc. Design and develop new applications to automate and improve operations. Optimize use of the PORTIA portfolio accounting system by creating reports and improving data flow into and our of the PORTIA SQL DB. Assist with replacement of Excel based solutions with more robust applications. Integrate company systems with PORIA applicaiton and external parties (e.g.,middleware). *Data import and export between SQL and other DB applications* Scripting and batch tasks. Maintain current apps in Excel and Access. Work with outside vendors to automate the flow of data both leaving and arriving Company. inclkuding outgoing trade data and reporting and incoming data feeds. Required: PORTIA both on back end (SQL database) and front end. MS SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 databases. MS Office, MS .NET, Visual Studio/VBA, C#, Job scheduling and PowerShell scripting |
