Title: Android Developer

Location: Denver, CO

Duration: 5+ Months

 

Req Details:

Client has applications that need to be compatible with iOS and Android machines.  Someone already developed the iOS portion, now they need someone to come in and do the Android development.  The specs and everything have already been drawn.  More specifics include:

 

Development IDE/Environment experience

·         Eclipse with ADT (Android Development Toolkit) or IntelliJ with ADT

·         Competency with the ADB (Android extension for GDB (Gnu Debugger)), DDMS (Dalvik Debug Monitor Server)

General technical requirements:

·         Java

·         XML

Android specific requirements:

·         Knowledge of Activity lifecycle

·         Familiarity with Android.xml configuration file

·         Knowledge of XML based Android UI layout system.  Ability to design screens using various layouts (e.g, LinearLayout).

·         Strong knowledge of Android UI widgets, especially ListView

·         Knowledge of Android UI theming and cascading styling through styles.xml

·         Ability to understand and provide recommendations for asset creation for various formats: HDPI, MDPI, etc.
