LOCAION  :  Lexington, KY

DURATION: 1 year + renewal

 

JOB Description

Client seeks a specialist Java/J2SE developer whos smart and gets things done to help deliver world-class enterprise software components. We desire 8+ years of Java experience, 5+ years required. This position requires a strong background in Object-oriented analysis and design, as well as experience delivering concurrent network programming, including highly-scalable web-services. Groovy/Grails experience is highly desired.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background as well as the ability to work well in a small team environment. A desire to innovate and solve complex technical problems is key, as well as a motivation to learn new technologies and apply them to Lexmark software offerings. Willingness to mentor more junior team members is a must. A demonstrated background in focusing on software quality and usability is highly desired. Excellent oral and communication skills are required.  

 

Skills/Qualifications:

 

Must Requirements:

5+ years Java (J2SE)

Object Oriented Analysis/Design using UML

Concurrent programming, especially the java.util.concurrent package

XML processing (SAX, DOM, XPATH, XSLT)

Fluency in a version control system (CVS, SVN, Perforce, git, Mercurial)

Fluency in a bug-tracking/ticking system (Bugzilla, etc.)

Groovy/Grails experience

 

Desired

Bachelors degree or higher in computer science or related degree.

8+ years j2se ( java 1.5/5.0 preferred )

Iaas/paas experience

Build tools like ant, maven2, rake

Experience with agile development support tools, including continuous integration, code coverage, and backlog management

Fluency in a scripting language (groovy,perl, python, or ruby)

Soap-based and restful web-service experience

Familiarity with tools like eclipse and wireshark a plus
