Description:
The purpose of this engagement will be to supply a qualified VMware VFabric Spring Expert to engage with the Customer.
· Develop a reference architecture with Client team to be the platform for future development
· Provide Knowledge transfer regarding the approach, capabilities, usage and best practices of Springsource Core products
· Provide Faster, more successful adoption of the latest Spring framework and vFabric platform to help with Agile Rapid development
· Examples and prototypes deployed to a development and/or test environment which reflect technologies and features recommended for the customer project
· Reduce risk to Customer through mentorship and use of lightweight, industry standard development methodologies
· Assist the team in day-to-day development and architecture decision points and management risks
· Architecture and Design Document – This is a document that describes, in detail, the suggested recommended reference architecture specifications, configuration methods, integration points and deployment lifecycle for Spring Core within the CUSTOMER project.

· Assistance with the Install Configuration of the SpringSource technologies as a solution set on development and test platforms
· Provide Spring and associated technologies Best Practices workshops as they apply to the proposed architecture, working with the Customer development team
· Knowledge transfer workshops to equip development team with essential development and testing tooling including Spring Tool Suite, Spring.
· Cover examples in auto-wiring, Spring annotations, Spring bean factory lifecycle concepts and Inversion Of Control best practices and common Spring project organization best practices
· Provide information and examples of Spring Core strategies including Transaction management, persistence, AOP
· Spring Web Services development including testing strategies covering remote invocation and service publishing
· Enable team to effectively unit test with common testing frameworks and Spring application testing best practices
· Cover building Web UI applications with the Spring MVC framework including request handler annotations and general request lifecycle
· Application logging and monitoring techniques across multiple instances / managed application nodes
· Suggest strategies for troubleshooting and traceability of application deployments within a Cloud environment
· Effectively engage SpringSource engineering team for internal development support on topics, as required
· Provide technical oversight on the development of the project engaging the team at regular intervals
· Help identify project candidates for application of enterprise level and code level design patterns
· Create weekly status reports and lead status meetings for Customer on project status and risks
· Assist the team in mitigating day-to-day development management risks
· Evaluate and analyze the current implementation through code reviews and provide counsel on building skills
· On-boarding of Customer resources via on-site knowledge transfer and hands-on Spring training
· Configure and integrate SpringSource technologies as a solution set
· Identify go live criteria and lead creation of test plans
