Role:  - SAN Administrator - - # 118
Location:  Albany, NY
Duration: - - 24 Months

 

Job Description:
 

• Perform storage configuration tasks for our current SAN storage arrays which consist of a CX300, CX3-80 and two CX4-120s.
• Coordinate installation and configuration of our new storage arrays, VNX5500 and VNX5700.
• Move data from our old storage arrays to the new storage arrays.
• Monitor storage and proactively plan for capacity and performance.
• Perform backup and restore functions using Networker tape and Avamar.
• Continue our migration of backup jobs from Networker tape to Avamar.
  
Mandatory Requirement:
 
- Technical expert centered around a technology, technologies or a portfolio of applications
- Designing and implementing Information Technology solutions

 Candidates should have at least 84 months experience, and at least one of the following should apply:
Experience in SAN Administration
Experience with configuration and management of EMC storage arrays
Experience with LUN configuration and design
Experience with EMC Avamar or Networker backup solutions
Experience using software such as Microsoft Visio to produce technical documentation
