Job Description:

 

This is a hands–on technical assignment working in a public safety environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to support for network hardware, software and connectivity.

The individual selected for this position will carry out support efforts that include but are not limited to: 1. Support of Local and Wide Area Network(LAN/WAN) environments requiring extensive experience in the use of advanced routing protocols.

2. Develop and implement network infrastructure solutions based on Nortel and Cisco L2/L3 switches.

3. Implement, configure and troubleshoot issues on Juniper and Palo Alto firewall systems.

4. Implement, configure and troubleshoot F5 load balancers.

5. Design, implement, configure and troubleshoot Cisco wireless infrastructure.

6. Implement, configure and troubleshoot Netmotion mobile data application.

 

 

Mandatory Requirement:

 

- Server back up and security - Performance tuning and capacity planning - Operations and troubleshooting - Understanding of network and distributed computing concepts

 

Candidates should have at least 84 months experience, and at least one of the following should apply:

• Hands-on experience with installation and management of firewall policy. Must include experience in Palo Alto firewall hardware
• Hands-on experience working with Cisco networking products performing router and switch configuration and troubleshooting. Design and development of core network (Data center/LAN) solutions on Cisco 7000 core switching is required.
• Hands-on experience working with Nortel networking solutions performing router, switch configuration and troubleshooting; Must include experience with "Contivity" products
• Hands-on experience providing configuration and support of Computer Associates E-Health statistical trending products
• Hands-on design, implementation, configuration, support and troubleshooting experience working with Virtual Private Network (VPN) technologies; Must include experience configuring Cisco ASA security appliances
• Hands-on experience working with Juniper firewall products including extensive knowledge on SSG and SRX platforms performing advanced firewall design, installation, configuration and troubleshooting
• Exerience working with F5 BIG IP, Global and local traffic manager technology, performing design, configuration, installation and troubleshooting
• Experience working with HP Openview performing implementation, network monitoring, troubleshooting, and polling of network devices.
