Role:   PowerBuilder PL SQL Developer - - # 189

Location:  Albany, NY

Duration: - - 24 Months

 

Job Description:

 

  Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Design, code, test and implement individual Integrated Budgeting System related tasks in PowerBuilder and/or other application projects or tasks;

• Design, code, test and implement DOB developed MS Access applications and/or other application projects or tasks;

• Design, code, test and implement database structures in Oracle to support business applications;

• Participate in requirements gathering and the identification of appropriate technological solutions and approaches; and

• Prepare functional and technical specifications as needed.

 

 

Mandatory Requirement:

 

• Analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team

• Maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work

• Write application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions

 

Candidates should have at least 60 months experience, and at least one of the following should apply:

 

• Experience specifically in PowerBuilder programming client/server applications.
• Experience specifically in Oracle coding and maintaining database objects.
• Experience specifically with PL/SQL coding
• Experience specifically with MS-Access coding
• Experience with public sector budgeting, accounting and/or financial management systems
• Experience writing technical documentation
