US CONSULTING - CONTRACT C# Developer for Desktop Application - Burlington, MA

We need someone with 3-5 years of C# .NET development for Windows, for desktop applications -- not web services. It's okay if the desktop applicationcommunicates with a web server, but the developer needs to have worked on the desktop app much of this time. This 3-5 years of desktop app dev must have occurred within the last 4-6 years or it looks like too much flip-flopping around in different technology environments.

Length: 3-6 Months

Location: Burlington, MA

Rate: $55/Hr

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a top-notch senior software engineer to join an exciting new product, working with a growing team of excellent software developers, QA and documentation staff. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to work independently and with multiple teams.

• Design new product features
• Write detailed design and functional specifications
• Develop, debug and unit test code
• Provide accurate time estimates of tasks

Qualifications:

Number of Years of Work Experience:		5+
Required Skills:	Minimum 5 years' experience in Windows application development in C# and C++ Minimum 2 years' experience with .NET UI development Experience with .NET Asynchronous calls, Events, Multithreading and Concurrency management Visual Studio development tools Solid component and object-oriented development principles Multi-threaded application development and debugging skills Excellent written and oral communication skills (English fluency required) Strong unit test methodology BS Computer Science or equivalent
Highly Desirable Skills:	Experience developing multi-language GUI Experience developing service applications using WPF; WCF is a plus Windows system internals Inter-process communication Python programming experience Experience with Agile Scrum Experience with test driven development
Education:	BS Computer Science or equivalent (MS preferred)
