Job Description:

Client currently seeks an mid-level Data Test Analyst to join our team in Washington D.C. Metro(Baltimore Maryland and Washington D.C.) area.

Qualifications:

- Strong, end-to-end understanding and experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and processes for software testing / quality assurance guidelines
- Lead the test case creation, data profiling and quality validation scripts
- Manage the test cases, results and defect management using HP Quality Center
- Understand full lifecycle design, development in database design; with understanding of ODS, Dimensional (SCD) models, and reporting tools
- Create metric and defect status reports and dashboards in MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies
- Must have strong understanding of one or more ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage); must understand the ETL/Data Integration development life cycle
- Extensive experience with data warehouse applications
- Technical knowledge and experiences in several areas including: Testing ETL sessions and PL/SQL scripts in data warehouse applications
- Execute test cases to requirements mapping; isolate effects and write concise, accurate bug reports
- Perform tests to the application for validity of results, accuracy, and reliability
- Continue to suggest improvements to our current quality assurance (QA) practices and work within the established QA practices
- Work with the business analysts, and developers, and user acceptance team members as required
- Design and create test data sets, write SQL scripts to test backend technical/integration functionality
