Rate: DOE
Start Date: Immediate
Need someone who can do F2F and prefer GC or Citizens.
Primary Assignment
Primary assignment will be supporting a SAP environment hosting a custom Revenue Accounting application. Secondary responsibility will be to develop the skills necessary to assist on Messaging and Web Services tasks and projects.
· Function as a Basis Administrator for the SAP environment hosting a custom developed Revenue Accounting System.
· Install, configure, tune, test and maintain the SAP environment including planning for required capacity and growth.
· Integrate third party solutions into the SAP environment.
· Support the planning and execution of major application upgrades in the SAP environment.
· Support the planning and evolution of the SAP Stack.
· Identify and analyze system and application issues. Determine solutions; develop, test and implement fixes.
· Apply a broad understanding of the system including the SAP framework (ABAP and Java Stacks), database, operating system, infrastructure and utilities in troubleshooting issues or implementing changes in the system.
· Demonstrates resourcefulness and creativity in identifying resolutions to issues.
· Quickly learns and applies new concepts and skills.
· Guides and fosters growth in the SAP knowledge of peers.
· Participate in a 24x7 on-call pager rotation.
This is an Intermediate Basis Administrator position on the SAP L3 Team supporting the SAP Netweaver (ABAP and Java) implementation hosting a custom developed Revenue Accounting System. This position does not have Java, Internet development or Web Services as a primary responsibility or expectation thus, does not require OWASP Top 10 certification.
Required Skills
· 3 – 5+ years Basis Administration experience.
· Hands on experience with Netweaver 7.0 / 7.1 (ABAP and Java stacks); administration, install, configuration, tune, upgrade / patching, troubleshooting.
· Hands on XI / PI experience; administration, install, configuration, tune, upgrade / patching, troubleshooting, adaptors.
· Hands on experience planning and executing major application upgrades in an SAP environment.
· Proficiency in UNIX Shell and Perl scripting.
· Experience in SAP Security administration.
· Experience supporting SAP transports in a complex multi-layer landscape.
· Experience supporting SAP with Oracle RDBMS.
· Working knowledge of Linux / Unix system administration.
Non-Technical
· 5 – 7+ years IT experience on multiple platforms / technologies.
· Experience working with an environment subject to audit controls.
· Demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities and multi-tasking capabilities.
· Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Demonstrated ability to work within an established time frame to complete tasks.
· Demonstrated to work well in a Team environment and with Customers at all levels and backgrounds (Leadership and Non-Leadership).
· Experience Mentoring Teammates on technical and implementation details related to the SAP stack and installed applications.
· Experience following a defined project implementation methodology.
· Experience contributing in project planning, estimating, scheduling and execution.
· Demonstrated resourcefulness and creativity in identifying resolutions to issues.
· Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts and skills.
Beneficial Skills/ Preferred
Technical
· Previous ABAP development skills. (Very strongly desired)
· Working knowledge of queuing and publish / subscribe messaging, esp. Tibco EMS.
· Working knowledge of SSL and certificates.
· Working knowledge of Java, JSP, JavaScript.
· Working knowledge of Oracle RAC.
