US CONSULTING - CONTRACT Direct Client Req. ::: Immediate need for Lead Network Specialist, White Plains, NY

Lead Network Specialist

Location: White Plains, NY

Duration: 3 months

Rate: Open

 

In-person at the client location may be required – Locals are highly desired

Willing to commute between Primary White Plains site and other related locations as required

 

Skills:

·        Proven track record of high level experience with following Windows2003 and Windows 2008 O/S:

o   Standard Edition

o   Enterprise Edition

o   R1; R2

o   32-bit; 64-bit.

o   Must have some knowledge in Windows2012

·        High-level experience with all models and generations of HP Proliant Servers up to G8.

·        Must be able to maintain and update the HP physical server infrastructure.

·        Recent experience directly managing and administering data center servers utilizing HP Systems Insight Manager (SIMS) as follows:

o   Monitor servers for hardware/software problems and configuring same to alert to email distribution

o   Upgrade software and configure to Client specifications

o   Firmware updating – configure critical alert generation for servers needing firmware, driver and other software component updates based on SIMS alerts

o   Must be able to configure alerts for failed hardware components based on SIMS alerts and coordinate with HP for delivery and replacement of failed components.

·        Deploy servers as well as manage and administer the environment utilizing HP Rapid Deployment Provisioning (RDP) software.

·        Must be knowledgeable in upgrading RDP software

·        Configure scripts for O/S deployment

·        Configure White Plains site and remote site IP ranges

·        Remotely deploy servers

·        Customize and Q/A servers according to standards.

·        Server racking and Storage Provisioning – must be able to demonstrate a high skill level regarding running copper and fiber cables for Storage Area Network (SAN), iLO, kvm, Network according to standards.

·        Must experience with network cabinet patch panels, SAN Director Core Switches, fiber patch cord routing standards.

·        Recent experience implementing stretch clusters in a WebSphere environment utilizing Microsoft clustering services between a primary site and a Disaster Recovery (D/R) colocation.

·        Recent direct relevant experience with maintaining a D/R colocation site

·        Excellent inter personal and communication skills are mandatory
