Immediate Need -Senior Database Engineer !!
Job Title : Senior Database Engineer
Location : Bay area, CA
Duration : 6-12+ months
Required skill:
5+ years experience working with Oracle RDBMS
Oracle 10g and 11g
Oracle High Availability and Disaster Recovery best practices
Experience in Partitioning design
Experience working with Index Oriented Tables
Experience working with Materialized Views
Experience implementing Data Archival strategies
Experience in Database Performance Tuning, at the schema level, code/SQL level, instance level and operating system level.
Experience in debugging database performance problems remotely (with limited direct access to the production database)
Must be proficient in Unix, able to work in predominately Unix environments and have Unix shell scripting ability
Must have exceptional SQL and PL/SQL scripting skills
Must have Data modeling experience
ASM is a plus
Experience with large disk storage systems and I/O tuning a plus
Experience working with large data set using analytic functions a plus
Experience working with tools such as Silverrun, Erwin, Designer 2000, etc. is a plus
