Position: System Analyst

Location: Philadelphia PA

Hourly rate: 80/hr

Longevity: 6+

Openings: 6 (maybe more)

 

System Analyst/Business Analyst

 

Essential Skills Required:

 

- Very strong analytical skills and background needed.

- The ability to gather and synthesize information and offer creative solutions to meet client needs.

- Ability to understand data extracted by COBOL code since project requirements are derived from the extracted data.

- Some exposure to data warehouse concepts and an understanding of data relationships.

- Knowledge of jobs, programs, copybooks and datasets would be beneficial to support discussion with client technical Subject Matter Experts (SME's).

- Ability to utilize the Evolveware documentation produced by the team which refers to these items will be required.

- Some proficiency with SQL highly desirable.

- Solid use of Powerpoint, Project and Visio in addition to the general Microsoft desktop applications.

- Sharepoint skills a plus.

- Self-starter. Demonstrated track record for taking initiative.

- Ability to make and assume full responsibility for solid business decisions.

- Prompt notification to key internal and external stakeholders of issues/risks as they are identified.

 

HARDWARE/SOFTWARE PACKAGES

Microsoft Office, SQL

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

BA in Computer Science or related discipline
