Job Description: Minimum experience 5-9 years.
My client is looking for an experienced Oracle DBA. This person will support Internal projects, Application Developemnt teams, and Disaster Recovery. This resource will support Front end systems and building out Data Guards. They need to have experience with Data replication tools specificaly, Oracle Streams but may be going to Informatica or Infosphere. Also this person should have experience with OEM(Oracle Enterprise Manager), ASM(Auto Storage Manager), and TOAD.
They are currently on Oracle 11.1 migrating to 11.2( Please note the manager would be interested in anyone with Oracle 10g or above. Also, they are currently on Solaris 10 going to AIX 7( Please note the manager would be interested in anyone with Solaris or AIX). They will be moving HW to IBM Netezza for Data Warehousing while moving ETL to SAP Business Objects. They are supporting the three facets of development Test, and Production servers. The servers consist of internal Corporate Backoffice for Time & Expense, CRM- POS which was developed in house for billing and web use by customers.
Work in the IT Infrastructure department to build and support cutting edge database solutions. Perform database administration, project implementation and support duties for large-scale systems utilizing Oracle RDMS (11g RAC a plus not required) on Unix platforms.
A proactive technical expert who performs a variety of administrative and technical work using defined standards, constraints and system requirements to design and manage the databases of the corporate enterprise. Work includes research, development, planning and designing of complex, scalable and highly-available business systems using the latest technology including Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC), Oracle Streams/CDC, Enterprise Manager Grid Control, Recovery Manager(RMan). In addition, this position requires the candidate to provide upper-tier functions including troubleshooting, performance tuning, upgrading and systems management in production, test, and development environments.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent preferred. 4+ years experience in Information Technology including systems and database administration preferred.
Multiple years experience with Oracle expected including working with Real Application Cluster (RAC) is a plus.
Oracle Streams and Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control preferred.
Working knowledge of UNIX operating systems required. Software patch installation, networking knowledge, backup/recovery and disaster recovery experience preferred.
Troubleshooting and performance tuning skills preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the appropriate life cycle phases for implementation and support for one large or multiple small projects. Activities include coordinating resources, schedules, task assignments, project plans, and often performs systems analysis. Serves as the primary contact with user groups and systems management.
Provides advice on methods and recommends changes in project management processes, standards and strategies. Provides resolution of major issues and manages project interdependencies and handoffs. Manages overall project communication and resolves issues. Leads the preparation of business case, cost/benefit analysis, contingency planning and risk assessment.
Oversees the development of recommendations regarding systems or process design solutions and process improvements. Serves as a technical, subject matter resource for systems and business line staff.

Job Description: /MS SQL Server DBA with experience in administration of SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2012. Experienced in upgrading from 2005/2008 to 2012 and ability to manage the project to do so.
Working knowledge of SQL components for SharePoint such as PowerPivot and Reporting .
Additional Details: Experience in troubleshooting and resolving MS SQL database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
Working knowledge of Reporting and PowerPivot for SharePoint Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
ETL, Data Management, Data Migrations, Backups/Restores SQL Development ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code and design ( stored procs, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints ) Documentation skills for processes and procedures Solid acquaintance with windows server, security delegation, storage components.
Strong knowledge of how indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching.
How statistics work, how indexes are stored, how they can be created and managed effectively Experienced in Scripting languages: VBScript, PowerShell, etc.
Ability to organize and manage upgrade project.
Excellent communication skills and ability to train others.
