US CONSULTING - CONTRACT Need: .NET Developer @ TX

Training: 2 weeks to 1 month at Austin, TX


SENIOR .NET SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Role and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for working interdependently with a team of developers to develop and implement business applications supporting initiatives within the Client.  This includes working with team lead to create and or utilize technical specifications to provide enhancements and new development to an existing suite of applications, while adhering to standards and guidelines within Client.  The candidate should have a solid understanding of object oriented programming and programming principles, a solid understanding of .NET, experience designing and developing end-to-end enterprise software solutions, and working with team members to ensure a high quality end product.

 

REQUIRED:

• Minimum 5 years experience coding in .NET with emphasis on C# as a programming language, ASP .Net, ADO.Net and SQL Server 2000/2005/2008.
• Strong hands-on object oriented and domain design and development experience using C# in a senior capacity/ architecture role is preferred.
• Provides technical consulting on complex strategic initiatives in one or more phases of application development.
• Establish and ensure compliance with technical architecture standards, processes, principles, and methodologies.
• Desire and commitment to work on projects that extends up to 3 - 4 years.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills required.
• Experience in the Agile methodology is preferred but not required.
• Excellent problem solving and interpersonal communication skills are required.
• Experience working within a distributed team environment is preferred.
• Must excel at working with peers within a team environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience. Relevant job experience will also be considered in lieu of a degree.

PREFERRED

• Experience with large-scale enterprise applications deployed using .NET.
• Commitment to continuing professional development and domain expertise.
• Experience in the Motor Vehicle Industry and Government projects preferred.
• Relative Microsoft Certification is preferred, but not required.
