US CONSULTING - CONTRACT HOT REQ: Oracle DBA with Sybase / Des Moines, IA

We are looking for Oracle DBA with Sybase for one of our client at Des Moines, IA. Please let me know your interest.

 

Oracle DBA with Sybase

Location: Des Moines, IA

Duration: 18 months

Rate: $45/hr

 

Required Skills:

·         Oracle 10g and 11g and Sybase 15

·         Oracle Dataguard, Oracle OEM, Oracle CRS

·         Replication tools such as Oracle Streams and Quest Shareplex

·         Knowledge and experience using Sybase PowerDesigner to provide insight and oversight of database models

·         Ability to problem solve database issues while on-call 24x7 strong Knowledge of performance data collection, performance monitoring and performance improvement.

·         Knowledge of backups and recovery, Security Administration, Database and Server Performance Monitoring and Tuning, and Capacity Planning.

·         Effective and clear communication, independent worker, and leadership skills are key. Minimum Qualifications: 7+ years database design and administration experience with Oracle (10g, 11g) on Linux or Solaris and at least 5 years experience with Oracle RAC. This individual will provide the highest technical expertise for the planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization's server-class databases. Handles and leads the most complex or critical data/ database management initiatives that typically involve multiple disciplines and multiple business groups, including responsibility for database architecture, design, integration, and/or data modeling. As the recognized technical expert, consults extensively with multiple client groups to provide strategic solutions, influencing long-range internal and enterprise level data/ database architecture and management strategies. Serves as a consultant on technological advancements. Provides oversight, mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff. May represent the organization as an external spokesperson. Preferred Skills: Experience with ASM/CRS on Oracle 10g and 11G Experience with Oracle dataguard, oracle OEM Replication Experience using Oracle streams and Quest shareplex RMAN backup experience with Oracle 10g and 11g Sybase 15 DBA experience is a plus
